@Sina: Waaaas, der Strand soll steil abfallend sein?? Ist doch wohl nicht wahr??? Wird man denn von den Reiseveranstaltern nur mehr angelogen?

Achja, was uns noch interessiert, wie sieht es mit den Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in der direkten Umgebung aus? Bazar etc????

Ja ich habe das Hotel zunächst auch gebucht wegen der Katalogbeschreibung "Flach abfallender Sandstrand". Ich dachte an den Strand in Side und wie toll der doch für Kinder ist.
Am 10.01.2011 bekam ich dann ein Infobrief von meinem Reiseveranstalter mit folgendem Inhalt:

" Entgegen der Ausschreibung in unserem Katalog Sommer 2011 liegt das Hotel direkt am zum Teil abfallenden, leicht kiesigen Sandstrand. Für diesen Druckfehler entschuldige wir uns."

Da es zu diesem Zeitpunkt schwierig war ein Fammilienzimmer in Side zum angemessenen Preis zu bekommen sind wir beim Sherwood geblieben.
Das es am Flutsaum kieselig ist in Bogazkent wusste ich bereits durch einen Aufenthalt dort (Hotel Alva Donna) . Dort ging es aber gleich tief rein!!!

Nun steht zum Teil abfallend. Vielleicht gibt es ja am Hotel oder links bzw. rechts daneben einen Abschnitt wo es flacher rein geht.
Deshalb meine bitte an Sina oder die ersten Gäaste darüber zu berichten.
Wenn es z.B nebenan beim Sensimar flacher rein gehen würde und man wüsste dies, kann ma ja mit den Kids dort in das Wasser gehen.

Aber die Illussion, dass es wie in Side (Royal Dragon ) ist und man 100 m weit locker rein gehen kann ist mir genommen worden, schade!!!
Dennoch freuen wir uns sehr auf den Urlaub. Muss man eben genauer auf die Kids schauen, wenn die ins Meer gehen.
Richtig schlimm wäre es auch nur, wenn es innerhalb eines Schrittes sofort steil abfallen würde. Das wäre sehr gefährlich.

Hello All,

We also booked Sherwood Dreams on April 30th for a weeks holiday. We were very surprised to see that the hotel opens on May 1st!

After reading the forum, I am a little bit more confident, that the hotel will be ready then.

I think it will be a very special holiday, to be the first guests in the hotel.

We will make lots of pictures to keep the future guests informed about the hotel.

It's almost time. We are very curious about the hotel. But the pictures of Sina to see at least we can sleep. Let's hope that the kitchen and the beach is also ready for our arrival. The last pictures were from April 12 so it's been a while back. after coming back I will pictures of the hotel here on the site. see you at the 30th of April . Sina one question, is the Hamam also open?

By the way - would be great if the first guests of Sherwood Dreams could test the entrance of the sea and give us some informations about it. We have some questions here, if the entrance to the sea is steep or rather low, if there are stones under water, etc.. I personally did not test the beach and the sea yet for time reasons and also because it was still too cold

I will take pictures of the beach, the sea. Also the dining room, breakfast, beach bar etc etc. And I will not even be paid for it haha! We Dutch do this for you on this forum. stress before your holiday you should not have. So I hope everyone will see the pictures on May 8th (then we will be back again)


Even i will personaly test the see ;( if its not to cold for you guy's

Yes, but I also don't get a Penny for uploading pics and climbing around in the construction - this is only hobby. And shoe - recycling
